When someone discovers I am a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), the first comment is usually, “Oh, you must make a lot of money.” Let’s skip over the patient care aspect of my job and the many years it took to get here, but yes, I make good money. Unfortunately, I see so many CRNAs (and physicians, nurse practitioners, physician’s assistants, and nurses) making great money, but failing to make their money work for them. I was brought up in a family that spoke openly about money, which serves as the foundation of my financial literacy. In my early 20s, I began reading books on personal finance, money mindset, investment strategies, asset management, wealth building, and so much more, sparking a passion for finance.
